Immersion Assembly

 On Monday 12th October we had our Immersion assembly. Our theme for this term is arts alive. Mr J, Mr Somerville, Mrs Nua and Mr Burt showed us the new logo for the school by painting it live. 

Team 1 went on there one was a movie and it was about a famous artist called vincent van gogh and the earring girl . 

Team 2, Miss Gaston did drawings of the other teachers faces by using different tools like on the Ipad and paper.  

Team 3, They sprayed paint on a big white cloth to show every different colour. For the arts alive theme they are going to do art with colours.

Team 4 forgot to make up one and so then they were on google meet and Mr Goodwin recorded it and they had an art competition so they can decide on what they should do for art and Mrs Tuia Won the competition and it actually did a great job.They are going to learn to draw patterns for other cultures.

Team 5 did a great job with showing us their theme. The play was about one girl going to visit the museum and one was the worker and it was the workers first day at that job. The visitor was describing what the worker was wearing and how it shows art.  Mr Burt told us a story about the school logo. 

The story was in the 90’s the first principal said that they should change the bird on the logo because we don't have that type of bird in our community. Mr Burt and Pt England school then had to come up with a logo and changed the bird on the logo to a new one. Now anyone that gets a new uniform the new logo will be in it.
